~Keeping it Real-Children's & Nurseries Rooms~

It is that time again for Kelly at Kelly's Korner who is hosting

Now I thought maybe I wouldn't participate this week. Yes I have children but they are now Teens & a Pre-Teen.Let me give some back story. We just moved into our brand new house a year ago and their Dad said no one(including me) could paint until we have lived in here a year-we will be painting sometime soon(we hope). Keep in mind they are 16.5, 15 & 12.5:

Now in perfect Bobbie Jo world their rooms would always look like the ones above. However, we don't live in my world and this is what I get-most of the time soooooooooo.............
I fix it but doing this:

Hope you enjoyed my tour of my children's rooms. I know they aren't perfect-they do clean them but as long as there is nothing crawling/stinking coming from the room I let it go for a bit and then I make them do it but it always goes back to the way it is. :) And I still LOVE them! Plus I can't wait to see how the really live when they move out! lol

I know what you mean... Stephen is kinda a neat freak, that is until it comes to his room... Which usually looks like a tornado went through it! I go through prolly every other week, threatening the wrath of God as I step on metal planes and hot wheels, and help him get it back in order... But it only takes ten minutes for my little Texas Tornado to hit again! ;-)

yup I'm like you - being real is all you can do being a mum. My oldest 13 year old isn't too bad with his room and my 11 year old daughter's room is usually a bomb site too, no matter how much I clean and get it spotless, it's back to the same state within a few hours...
