A New Year & a New Challenge

For a while now learning scripture has been on my heart and so I am going to continue trying to do so. I have done it with Beth Moore-I did miss the last 2 weeks and well I am just not going to beat myself up about it. That is one of my New Year changes I am making. Anywho, on to the challenge. I read this blog She Sparkles and she is doing an A to Z Memory Scripture Verse challenge and so I am joining in. I figure I will learn some new scriptures and will have them hidden in my heart and that will only make me better at knowing God's Word!
So on to the first one:

A - As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.~ Joshua 24:15b

30 Days of Thanks

Day 30

I have done this 30 Days the last couple of years along with my friend Conny. I am always amazed at how fast it goes.
I have enjoyed participating-I know some of my post may have been on the frivolous or even selfish side but as I sit here and think about all that I have-I really am just thankful.
I have a great husband who I love more today even though he drives me crazy. lol I have 3 pretty darn good kids who are starting to not be kids & that is kind of cool and weird all rolled into one. I have a nice comfortable home-plenty to eat. I have some cool friends who like me! I attend a great church! I work for a pretty neat lady! I serve an AWESOME God! My life is really good! Don't get me wrong it has it's fair share of heartbreak but overall I really am just blessed and that makes me thankful.

30 Days of Thanks #29

Day 29

Today I am thankful that I got to spend a couple of hours with my college girl-Chelsea. I met some more of her friends, where she works, the boy she likes and we got to attend her Bible Study. I will have to give the lesson some serious thought-it was interesting. I had a good time!

Day 28

Today I am thankful that I got to go to the Advent by Candlelight for Women @ FUMC with Jordan who asked me to go. Last year she & Chelsea went and had a wonderful time and so I was thrilled when she asked me to go(you have to be invited). What a beautiful way to start off the Advent Season. The theme this year was "A Baby Changes Everything"it was just wonderful-the music and the talks-candlelight! WOW! Not only did I get to hang with one of my girls but I got to hang with many of my friends and Jordan also asked Julie to go and well everyone knows how I feel about her-she loves me and my kids! :) Doesn't get any better than that!!! I am truly blessed girl!!

Day 27

Today I am thankful that even though not feeling 100% was able to get my house decorated and now I can sit in the quiet of the night and enjoy the lights and have my quiet time! :)

Today I am thankful for having medical insurance-getting to be seen at the medi-clinic(they close at 4 and I got there a little after 3) instead of having to go to the ER and I am most thankful for Lonnie going to get my meds for me.

Today I am thankful for being able to go shopping on Black Friday with Big Lonnie. Got a few things out of the way for Christmas for the kids!
But..................
the most thankful thing is that our bank stopped some not so lovely people from using the Man's card in Vegas! People who do this makes me mad-get your own but since this is a thankful post I will just leave it at that!

Day 24

Today is Thanksgiving and I am thankful for all that I have. I truly am a blessed woman. We had a wonderful dinner-clean up went smoothly-took a long walk-now just waiting to go do a little bit of shopping.
