What a definition!
Today we got in the mail a Christmas Card with a family newsletter. Usually-overall they are happy updates of families/friends of new and past. Well not today-it told of a wife and mother of 3 who decided that she no longer wants to be those things. WOW! Right out of left field! What a HUGE difference a year makes! I mean I know it happens but WOW! Not them!! It for a minute makes you question your own! They were married about 13/14 years, they are a military family, they have weathered deployments, death, promotions, deployments, children being born, holidays being missed, deployments-you name it they to have done exactly what you have done and for whatever reason they can't or won't go on. It just shakes your core if only for a minute.
So, today RELATIONSHIPS have been heavily on my mind. Not only for them but all marriages, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, friends, etc. As we are ending 2008-I can't help but think of those things that I have lost, still mourning but I am also hopeful- new relationships, mending broken ones or even letting go of some and knowing that it will be OK to do so.
